We have just donated a further £400 from the sale of GSN meals to the Curtis palmer Program and have pledged to donate £1 for every one who completes our latest survey! more on this later! This will hopefully take our donations this year to over £2000, which will be incredible!
CPP have loads of events planned for the next couple of months, here is a list of the highlights.
· July 24- Aug 01 we took 14 service users to Norway. Having returned we are sending 3 of the service users on their lowland leaders course so they can help us lead next years expedition.
· From Aug 7 -18th we ran our 14th online breathing and cold water immersion course with the breath connection The Power of Breathwork | The Breath Connection | United Kingdom The course is designed to help with stress, anxiety, depression and general mental health wellbeing. I was really lucky to gain around £9k sponsorship from the Blue Light Card Foundation to pay for 1 course every 3 months for 2 years but we still have to subsidise each course by £300. So far we have put over 350 service users through the course.
· August saw the launch of our Shepherds Hut in Dorset that we pass to service users in need of a short break. We already have full bookings.
· 19th August we take 9 service users wild water swimming with the new club we are launching.
· 24-27th August we take 15 service users on a 4 day 125 mile canoe following the Devizes to Westminster canoe race route.
· Sept 2nd TVP Open day and the CPP are the Charity of Choice.
· 02-03rd Sept we have obtained 200 tickets for officers and their families to attend the Ferrari weekend at Silverstone.
· 13th Sept Police v Gurkha soldier volleyball /welfare day.
· 15-17th Sept we take 12 service users on an activity weekend to Devon.
· 23rd Sept we have a day walking up Pen Y Fan helping an injured military veteran.
· 30th Sept we enter a Police/military team in the Para 10s.
It is a real privilege to have CPP as our chosen charity this year and we hope we can continue to support them further and extend their support to even more colleagues in need.
