Tuck Shop Update

Dear All,

The feedback we have been receiving for the services being offered from the Tuck shops across Chiltern and South Bucks, has been really positive. Our recent survey in Aylesbury has shown over whelming support for us to provide the same provisions there as well. As such with the help of Martin Duckett, we will look to go live around the 1st June 2022. This will in turn bring Aylesbury in line with the rest of the club area and members will have access to FREE Tea, Coffee and Milk around the station. You will notice around both Aylesbury, Amersham and Chequers that with space allowing we have increased our capacity, with new fridges and bigger freezers.

Our mission from the outset of the Tuck Shop, has always been around offering the best value for money we can! As we know being limited to fast food or petrol station prices, we often get a raw deal at 3am. So it was important that our range of heathy and not so heathy products, were available at reasonable prices. To date most of our products are cheaper than our large supermarkets and even the likes of Lidl and Aldi can’t compete! Our GSN meals are cheaper than you can buy them direct and the cheapest in the force!

We will continue to support our members with this mission of making our products as cheap as possible. However as we know the prices of everything continues to rise. We have absorbed prices increases up to this point, including two from GSN, however sadly we will not be able to function without a small price rise across the ranges.

As such we have taken the decision that there will be new prices as of the 1st July which will affect all of our sites. As part of this price change, we will sadly see the end to members meal deals. Sadly it is just not sustainable to offer them, without it losing the club money. We are however working on a new solution where hopefully as members, you will be able to see a saving on products you purchase from the Tuck shop – so watch this space! We will additionally focus on developing the offers we can provide to members via the website and continue to invest to develop the services available to you. This way, we ensure that those who benefit from deals and offers are contributing members of the club.

The price increases are as small as we can make them and will some of our products. GSN meals will see an increase in price to £3.00, which brings us inline with the rest of the force, where they sell GSN meals. Its still often cheaper than buying direct. Drinks will generally see a shift towards bottles, rather than cans – easier to have operationally and offer better value for money. We will also see price increases to crisps to 80p, however the good news is, we have managed to get a deal with a local crisp supplier based in the Chilterns – So very soon we will be really pleased to be stocking the Salty Dog range of crisps and snacks. Some amazing new flavours and some of the old favourites as well.

Can I ask that from the 1st July, you take note of the new prices and remember that meal deals will no longer be available. We hope to have a payment solution which can provide members with a discount very soon.

As ever we thank you for your continued support of the club. A successful club truly is driven by its members!
